4. RACE VEHICLES
a) MWTS WILL BE RUN UNDER NHRA DIVISIONAL RULES FOR T/S. (only exception is MWTS will re-ladder prior to 1st round if any broken cars cannot make the call. This is to eliminate the possibility of an excessive amount of bye runs and to put on a better show for the spectators.)
b) Your race vehicle MUST BE ABLE TO PASS a NHRA Technical inspection. You should be prepared for any inspection at any track, if they have one. MWTS itself does not conduct inspections.
a) QUARTER-MAX Chassis and Racing Components is our 2017 Racing Series Sponsor. Quarter-Max decals WILL BE ON ALL MEMBERS VEHICLES!!! This is what they ask of us for their continued support, and we will, with gratitude and respect, display their decals.
b) Any MWTS member vehicle, NOT DISPLAYING, the required decals: who wins, runner-ups, or is in any round money, WILL NOT BE PAID as a MWTS member!! You will receive only non-member payout!
c) It is YOUR responsibility to see that you have these required decals. If MWTS is out of required decals, it will be noted that you came to get it and you will be considered as being in compliance with the rule.
d) Any other sponsor donating money, who have decals, can request that we display theirs, but WILL NOT be required. We would however, encourage you to do so. All of our sponsors, no matter how much they donate, are generously supporting us > ADDING MONEY TO YOUR PAYOUT. Please, acknowledge them by displaying their decals, and saying to them, THANK-YOU!!
e) The MWTS Membership Decal, MUST BE ON THE CAR, also.
6. AT THE TRACK
a) If we are at a double race weekend, and there are NO QUALIFING PASSES for the 2nd day, there are NO SHAKEDOWNS ALLOWED.
b) The qualifying and elimination time schedule will be up to the tracks. Please be ready to move to staging when we are called. Don't wait if you are ready. Waiting to the last second only makes us look bad and irritates the track officials.
c) You will get a stand-by call. You will have approximately 10 minutes from the first call to the lanes, to get up to staging.
d) If you have a mechanical problem and need more time, you should find a committee man and tell them. They will inform the track officials that we need a little more time for you. Please keep in mind that the committee men are racers too. They will appoint someone to go up to the tower if they are not able. We do not want our members running up to the tower and complaining. They do not appreciate it!! We have been asked by the track not to let this happen.
e) We all have bad days at the races. Please consider that there might be sponsors, spectators, children, roaming through our pits and watching in the stands that can see and hear you. There could be potential sponsors, for YOU and MWTS!! Please try and hold your emotions till you are back to your trailer or motor home.
a) You must be a MWTS member to receive any Bonus Monies.
b) Payout sheets are based on a car count. Payout sheets are available to all members.
c) Someone enters a race who is not a MWTS member, and does not want to join, will be paid out half the money as a member.
8. PURSE SNATCHERS POINTS
a) Points will be kept at each MWTS race for all members.
b) The Top 5 in points at the end of the season, will share in the purse money provided.
c) If you have paid your entry at the gate, and it rains, too cold, or whatever the track has deemed reasonable to cancel the race, you will get 10 points for being there.
d) There are 9 races scheduled for 2017. ALL RACES COUNT FOR POINTS. There will be NO THROW-OUTS!!!
8. TOP GUN SHOOTOUT
a) Qualifying points will be kept for all members at every race, through the 7th race. Every race 1 through 7 will count, no throw-outs.
b) Points will be given to the top half of the field at all MWTS races. For example: if there are 22 cars, the top 11 qualifiers in the field will get points. The 11th qualifier will get 1 point, the 10th will get 2 points, and so on up to the #1 qualifier who will get 11 points.
c) The top 4 in accumulated points will run a shoot-out. This is a standard dial-in format full tree race. #1 in points will get lane choice and run #3 in points. #2 in points will get lane choice and run #4 in points. The final round, faster car from the 1st round will get lane choice. There will be 2 alternates. If for instance, #1 cannot be there, the 1st alternate will fill in the #1 slot. If someone cannot be there, that particular slot will be filled. The other 3 in order will not change.
d) The shoot-out is still to be determined and will be scheduled for a date in September.
